1986 – eine Band aus Hamburg betritt die Bühne und schreibt Musikgeschichte: Girls Under Glass. Vier Jahrzehnte später feiern Volker Zacharias, Axel Ermes und ihre Weggefährten das 40-jährige Bandjubiläum – mit einer besonderen Show, die Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft vereint.
Seit ihrer Gründung durch Thomas Lücke, Hauke Harms und Volker Zacharias haben sich GUG konsequent über Genregrenzen hinwegbewegt. Von Gothic-Rock und Dark Wave über Industrial, Metal und Elektronik bis hin zu modernen Hybrid-Sounds: Girls Under Glass waren und sind Pioniere eines unverwechselbaren, düsteren, emotionalen Klangkosmos.

Nach Klassikern wie Humus, Flowers, Darius und Christus sowie experimentellen Phasen mit Firewalker und Zyklus meldeten sich die Hamburger Szene-Veteranen 2023 mit ihrem gefeierten Comeback-Album „Backdraft“ eindrucksvoll zurück – vielfach ausgezeichnet als Album des Monats und Album des Jahres.

2026 steht alles im Zeichen von „40 Jahre Girls Under Glass“. Eine Jubiläumsshow, die mehr ist als ein Konzert: Ein Rückblick auf vier Jahrzehnte Leidenschaft, Wandel und kreative Energie.
